35, of Bronx, New York.
Velez died in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained when an improvised
explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations.
He was assigned to the Army Reserve's 773rd Transportation Company,
Fort Totten, New York. Died on June 9, 2006.
